Accreditation of joint studies

According to the Act on Quality Assurance in Higher Education and Science (151/22), the accreditation of a joint study by a domestic and a foreign higher education institution is conducted by directly applying the procedure and standards proscribed by the European Approach for Quality Assurance of Joint Programmes.

The higher education institutions participating in the execution of the joint study shall jointly select the agency to carry out the accreditation procedure of the joint study, which must be entered in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR).

Since the Act stipulates that the procedure for accreditation of a joint study shall be regulated in detail by the Agency for Science and Higher Education via a general act which shall be published online, the Agency for Science and Higher Education has adopted the Ordinance on Implementation of Accreditation of Joint Studies of Domestic and/or Foreign Higher Education Institution(s), as well as the quality standards in the process of accreditation of joint studies of a domestic and a foreign higher education institution.

These documents were published on the Agency’s website on 17 April 2023 (in Croatian).
