Pursuant to the Act on Quality Assurance in Higher Education and Science (OG 151/22) the Agency for Science and Higher Education conducts the procedures of re-accreditation of higher education institutions and research institutes.
Re-accreditation of higher education institutions and research institutes is carried out every five years in accordance with the annual plan of re-accreditation of higher education institutions and research institutes.
The annual re-accreditation plan is adopted by the Agency at the proposal of the Accreditation Council.
The Agency can include a higher education institution i.e. a research institute in the annual re-accreditation plan ex officio, at the proposal of the minister responsible for the area of science and education or at the request of a higher education institution i.e. research institute.
