On 9 September 2019 the Embassy of India hosted a reception in honour of the partnership between India and Croatia through the Technical and Economic Cooperation Programme (ITEC) and on that occasion Prof. dr. sc. Jasmina Havranek, Acting Director of the Agency for Science and Higher Education, gave a welcome speech.

The aforementioned programme became operational in 1964 and since then has expanded worldwide. One of the main activities of the ITEC programme is training in different fields such as public administration and governance, IT, human resources management, entrepreneurship, finance, logistics and sim. Experts and citizens from developing countries, including Croatia, are being offered with unique training courses in different centres of excellence in India.

“I am convinced that I speak for everyone here present when I say that I am extremely pleased that India has chosen to create partnership through its developmental lifelong learning and professional development programmes. Therefore, in light of increasing internationalization, allow me to use this opportunity to invite you to enhance cooperation in the field of higher education”, highlighted prof. dr. sc. Havranek.

Every year the Embassy of India marks ITEC Day with the goal to exchange experiences and strengthen cooperation between Croatia and India.
