The Agency for Science and Higher Education (ASHE) is the winner of the Croatian Society for Quality Charter for its special contribution to education and promotion of quality.
Taking into account the criteria such as education and training in quality, international reputation, promotion of quality in publications and organization of professional conferences, publishing activity and social contribution, CSQ recognized the Agency’s contribution to the creation of recognizable and competitive Croatian higher education and science and to the promotion of quality in society.
“The Agency continuously invests in educating its employees, as well as other stakeholders in the higher education and science system, with particular emphasis on cooperation with foreign experts and the integration of international good practice. Therefore, this Charter will, in the coming period, be a motivator for further efforts and promotion of quality at the level of the entire higher education and science system as well as for the transfer of knowledge and experience beyond the borders of Croatia”, said ASHE Director, Prof. Jasmina Havranek.
The award was awarded at the ceremony held on November 6, 2017, marking the 15th Croatian Quality Day under the slogan “Quality brings change” and marking the 23rd European Quality Week and the 28th World Quality Day. The event brought together many businessmen, award-winning companies and individuals and other distinguished guests.
The Croatian Society for Quality is a member of the European Organization for Quality and an active promoter of quality in all segments of society. Each year, this award is awarded to companies and individuals who are responsible for promoting quality. This year, the Charter was awarded in three categories: for encouraging and implementing quality in the Croatian economy, for special contribution to education in quality promotion and life-work.
ASHE’s contribution and engagement in education and quality promotion was also recognized in 2014, when CSQ awarded the Charter to the Agency in the same category.
