On the 30th September 2016, ASHE’s Central Applications Office published the rankings for enrolment in the first year of graduate studies at higher education institutions, which were done via the National System of Applications to Graduate Studies (NISpDS). The rankings are available on the website diplomski.studij.hr.

Electronic applications to graduate studies were initiated in the last academic year, and this year the NISpDS system was used by ten higher education institutions:

  • Juraj Dobrila University of Pula
  • Croatian Catholic University
  • Međimurje Polytechnic in Čakovec
  • RRiF College for Financial Management
  • Polytechnic “Marko Marulić” in Knin
  • Baltazar Polytechnic in Zaprešić
  • Polytechnic of Požega
  • Polytechnic of Šibenik
  • College of International Relations and Diplomacy Dag Hammarskjöld
  • College Algebra.

This system ranks candidates for graduate studies based on their results from the previous level of higher education (undergraduate study), results from additional tests of specialised knowledge, skills and abilities, and other achievements.

The plan is to gradually extend this electronic system to other higher education institutions in Croatia, which would significantly reduce application costs and the paperwork involved while improving the transparency of the enrolment procedure, availability of statistical data and other information on application and enrolment in graduate studies.
