AZVO vijesti

The UNESCO International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP) and the International Quality Group of the US Council for Higher Education Accreditation - CHEA/CIQG published the guidelines for effective international practice in combatting corruption in higher education and strengthening credibility of higher education (Advisory Statement for Effective International Practice).

The intention of this document is to provide some guidelines to HEIs and the wider public for effective international practice in combatting corruption in higher education – with a special focus on the role that quality assurance should play. Although the institutional quality assurance system must take a leading role in this battle, it is also important to involve a wider range of stakeholders.

The document aims is to offer guidelines to the various stakeholders for effective international practice in combatting corruption in higher education – with a special focus on the role that quality assurance should play. The document lists some of the major issues for actions and indicates various stakeholders – national governments, QA agencies, HEIs, faculty and staff, the press, civil society organisations, employers and professional bodies which may wish to consider them.

The importance of higher education as a driver of global development has never been greater and the document proposes to make the topic of academic corruption central in the discussions at both national and global levels.
