From 30 June to 2 July 2026, the Agency for Science and Higher Education (ASHE) hosted representatives of the Polish Accreditation Committee (PKA) as part of the Support for the Enhancement-Oriented Implementation of the Quality Assurance Key Commitment (SIQA) project. The project facilitates staff exchanges between quality assurance agencies with the aim of promoting mutual learning, sharing experiences, and strengthening international cooperation.

The study visit focused on exchanging experiences in areas of particular interest to the Polish agency. The programme primarily addressed the implementation of the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG) in an international context, cross-border quality assurance, the evaluation of joint study programmes, and current European developments in quality assurance in higher education.

During the three-day programme, participants discussed ASHE’s experience in implementing reaccreditation procedures, organisational development and human resource management, the digitalisation of processes, and the application of artificial intelligence. They also exchanged experiences regarding the development of information systems, data management, stakeholder engagement in the work of quality assurance agencies, and future European initiatives in the field of higher education.
