The Agency for Science and Higher Education (ASHE) is hosting the CEENQA General Assembly & Workshop 2026, taking place on 9–10 June 2026 in Split, Croatia, to mark the 25th anniversary of CEENQA (the Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education).

This international event will bring together representatives of quality assurance agencies and experts from across Europe to discuss key challenges and future directions in the development of quality assurance systems in higher education.

The workshop programme features a range of timely topics, including a review of CEENQA’s development and contributions over the past 25 years, future trends in higher education quality assurance, the role of students in quality assurance processes, and a panel discussion. Particular emphasis will be placed on the exchange of international experiences and examples of good practice, while the final session of the workshop will be dedicated to presentations by national agencies on the topic of digital transformation in external quality assurance.

The programme includes distinguished speakers and participants representing leading European organisations and institutions, including CEENQA, EQAR, and ESU, further highlighting the international significance of the event.

As the host of this important gathering, ASHE reaffirms its active role within the European Higher Education Area and its contribution to the development of quality assurance systems based on international cooperation, knowledge sharing, and the joint shaping of future quality standards.

The event is organised within the framework of the project “Quality Assurance in Higher Education”, co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+).
