Conference entitled “Building Agile Organizations” organised by the Zagreb School of Economics and Management, in cooperation with the Agency for Science and Higher Education and the Croatian Society for Information, Communication and Electronic Technology – MIPRO, was held on 23 and 24 September 2019 in Opatija.
This year’s conference, besides lectures on the subject of transformative strategies for higher education, innovative teaching methods and challenges in the labour market, featured workshops on standards and the AACSB accreditation process as well as presentations on innovations and excellence in higher education.
Participants at the conference had the opportunity to hear the following university professors and experts in the field of higher education: James Uhomoibhi (Ulster University, Faculty of Computing Engineering and the Built Environment), Timothy S. Mescon (AACSB International), Kjell R. Knudsen (University of Minnesota Duluth), Boris Debić (Google), Eileen McAuliffe (Sheffield Hallam University). The Agency for Science and Higher Education was represented by deputy director dr. sc. Vesna Dodiković-Jurković, who participated in the round table discussion entitled “Transformational strategies for higher education”.
This conference was also an opportunity for international networking and future cooperation in different academic fields.
