The national conference and roundtable discussion was held on the topic of improving professional higher education in Croatia and its contributions to the local community were held on Monday 26 November 2018, organized by the Agency for Science and Higher Education (ASHE) and the Council of Polytechnics and colleges.
At the conference, the results of the project “PROCSEE-Professional higher education excellence higher education in Central and South Eastern Europe”, challenges and examples of good practice in professional higher education in Croatia and recommendations for improving policies in order to respond to the mentioned challenges.
“There is significant potential for professional higher education for the development of the Croatian economy, which is particularly evident at the local and regional level”, emphasized Dr. Vlatko Cvrtila, PhD, President of the Council of polytechnics and colleges. He also stated that it is necessary, at a strategic level, to give stronger momentum and attention to this particular segment of higher education.
