Representatives of the Agency for Science and Higher Education (ASHE) participated at the 24th International Annual Joint Meeting of the ENIC and NARIC Networks held from the 25th to the 27th of June 2017 in Copenhagen, Denmark
The conference was organised by the European Commission, the Council of Europe, UNESCO and the Danish Agency for Science and Higher Education (Danish ENIC-NARIC Centre).
Some of the topics discussed at the conference were digitalising the recognition process (example of French ENIC/NARIC office) and evaluating the new forms of learning (MOOCS – Massive open online course, international degrees). Speakers from Eritrea, Nigeria and Lebanon presented their countries higher education systems and shared the news on activities related to possibilities of qualification recognition for persons who are beneficiaries of international and temporary protection, as well as other topics related to higher education and the work of ENIC/NARIC centres.
Croatian ENIC/NARIC Office, an information centre for academic mobility and recognition of foreign higher education qualifications is a part of the European Network of National Information Centres on recognition and mobility (enic-naric.net).
Since it was founded in 2005, the Office has regularly participated in annual conferences, particularly because of the possibility of exchanging experience and information on the status and implementation of the Lisbon Declaration in different countries, different national qualification frameworks, opportunities for participation in European projects and achieving common goals in the area of higher education in Europe and worldwide.
ENIC and NARIC Networks’ annual meetings normally gather representatives from more than 60 countries and are always an important and interesting event and a good opportunity for sharing good practice and information between the ENIC – NARIC centres.
