On the 20th of June 2017, following a decision of the Register Committee that decides upon applications for inclusion on the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) or renewal of registration, ASHE’s membership in the Register been renewed. This is a confirmation of ASHE’s responsibility for external quality assurance procedures both at national level and the level of EHEA, in line with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG 2015). EQAR was established by the E4 group in 2008 with the aim of increasing transparency in the field of quality assurance in higher education. ASHE has been included on the Register since the 25th of November 2011.
As a reminder, ASHE has also successfully undergone an international external review coordinated by the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) this year leading to the renewal of its membership in ENQA. According to the external review panel’s report after the site visit, ASHE is a well-established and recognized national agency with the important role of improving quality assurance of Croatian higher education institutions.
