The Agency for Science and Higher Education published documents for the new cycle of reaccreditation of higher education institutions:

  • Standards for the evaluation of quality of universities and university constituents in the procedure of reaccreditation of higher education institutions
  • Standards for the evaluation of quality of polytechnics and colleges in the procedure of reaccreditation of higher education institutions
  • The procedure for the reaccreditation of higher education institutions
  • The system of the assessment and evaluation of quality of higher education institutions in the procedure of higher education institutions reaccreditation
  • Tables in the self-evaluation obtained from the MOZVAG database.

ASHE worked on developing these documents and on the new model of reaccreditation together with the Accreditation Council Expert Committee during 2016, after which documents proposals were released for public discussion. The members of the academic community and all others could submit their proposals and comments to ASHE from the 30th of January to the 28th of February 2017. Final versions of the documents were made based on these recommendations.

According to the new model of re-accreditation, the next re-accreditation cycle  will focus on fostering improvements based on recommendations for quality improvement that have emerged from the first cycle of reaccreditation of higher education institutions. In this context, a higher education institution is considered as a whole and what is evaluated is the quality of all its activities.
