Representatives of the Agency for Science and Higher Education participated at the award of internationalisation certificate to the programme of Medicine in English by the University of Zagreb School of Medicine at the CeQuInt (Certificate for Quality in Internationalisation) project final conference on February 26th and 27th in Paris, France.

The programme of Medicine in English received the certificate on the basis of a review by an international peer panel which visited the institution, focusing in the interviews with the stakeholders on the programme quality and intercultural competences in the learning outcomes. This is a new type of external review which tries to see internationalisation as a specific component of students’ preparation for living and working in a globalised society.

The review was a part of the CeQuInt (Certificate for Quality in Internationalisation) project, with the Agency for Science and Higher Education as one of the partners. The project was coordinated by an association of quality assurance agencies in higher education – ECA (European Consortium for Accreditation). The agencies participating in the project will incorporate this review in their processes and offer it internationally, while the institutions would do well to look for inspiration and documents for internal reviews at the project website.
