The Changing Role of NARICs II: Stakeholder Perspective, as a continuation of the project Changing Role of NARICs I, proposes to build upon the findings of CHARONA I, as well as on the experience of NARIC centres and key stakeholders in the recognition of qualifications.
The aim of this project is the development of new International Recognition Guidelines for the recognition of qualifications, acknowledging examples of best practice and the experience of expert practitioners in recognition with particular emphasis on transnational education, non-formal / informal learning, the role of learning outcomes and the use of emerging qualifications frameworks in the process of recognition.
Another goal of this project is to enhance awareness of the EU initiatives amongst stakeholders whilst acknowledging the complex and varying roles of each of the ENIC/NARIC centres. This highlights the added value centres are able to provide for the implementation of the Europe 2020 Strategy.
The holder of this project is UK NARIC, and the Agency’s ENIC/NARIC Office is one of its partners.
