The workshop was attended by around a hundred of representatives coming from higher education institutions listed in the Re-accreditation Plan for the academic year 2014/2015, from the fields of Natural Sciences, Medicine and Law.
Director of the Agency, prof. dr. sc. Jasmina Havranek, said in her welcome speech that “The number of participants at our workshop this year is the indicator of interest of higher education institutions for the re-accreditation procedure and for the development and promotion of quality culture”.
Assistant Director of ASHE, mr. sc. Sandra Bezjak, informed the participants about the role and importance of re-accreditation procedure and criteria for evaluation, while the practical guidelines for writing the self-evaluation were presented by Ms Vlatka Šušnjak Kuljiš, Head of the Department for Initial Accreditation of the Agency.
It was especially interesting for the participants to hear how the re-accreditation looks from the perspective of higher education institutions, the experience shared by izv. prof. dr. sc. Pavel Gregoric from Croatian Studies, and about how the members of the expert panel for re-accreditation see the procedure and what they expect from higher education institutions, the insight provided by izv. prof. dr. sc. Boris Mlačić from the Institute of Social Sciences Ivo Pilar.
Representatives of higher education institutions found the workshop very useful in the light of re-accreditation that is awaiting them in the academic year 2014/2015.
