The third seminar for agencies preparing for review was organized by the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and took place on 27–28 March 2025, in Madrid, Spain.
The seminar was hosted by the Spanish National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA).
The seminar was intended for quality assurance agencies preparing for external evaluation according to the 2015 version of the ESG, either through a full review or a targeted review, and which are required to undergo this review between 2025 and spring 2027.
The aim of the seminar was to provide useful information about the review process so that agencies could prepare thoroughly for the upcoming review and develop their self-assessment in an appropriate manner. Participants gained insights into the methodologies of full and targeted reviews, discussed good practices related to writing and aligning the self-assessment with all stakeholders, and had the opportunity to exchange experiences with representatives of the ENQA Agency Review Committee and the director of EQAR. Additionally, the workshop offered a unique opportunity for participants to learn from other agencies that have successfully undergone the ENQA review.
Since the Agency for Science and Higher Education has already successfully undergone two full reviews, it is expected to undergo a targeted review for the third time (anticipated at the end of 2026 or the beginning of 2027).
