On Monday, 11 May 2020, the first meeting of partners and webinar for European agencies for quality assurance in higher education was held as part of the DEQAR CONNECT (Enhancing the Coverage and Connectivity of QA in the EHEA) project.
Forty participants had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the DEQAR database which contains data on the outcomes of evaluations of higher education institutions, its potential and technical requirements that agencies must meet in order to join the database.
The Agency for Science and Higher Education, as partner and host of the webinar, presented its experience of joining the DEQAR.
DEQAR CONNECT, the project holder of which is the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR), is a two-year project, of a total duration from March 2020 to the end of February 2022 that pursues activities of several EU projects, including the Database of External Quality Assurance Reports (DEQAR) project. The aim is to expand the database by including agencies within the European Higher Education Area which didn’t fall within the scope of the DEQAR project, as well as improve the way in which data from the database is being used.
