The Agency for Science and Higher Education (ASHE) is undergoing the third international external evaluation procedure with the aim of renewing its full membership in the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and its status in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR).
ASHE is a full member of these associations since 2011 and, as well as other European quality assurance agencies, is obliged to undergo this procedure every five years for the purpose of renewing its membership.
The procedure verifies whether ASHE’s activities are in compliance with the European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG): those related to the work of the Agency and those regarding the external evaluation procedures.
The visit of an international and independent expert panel appointed by ENQA is an essential part of the procedure. In compliance with the epidemiological situation, the visit will take place from 7 until 9 June 2021, and virtual meetings with different groups of stakeholders, such as higher education institutions’ representatives, reviewers, etc., will take place as part of the visit. We kindly ask all stakeholders to respond to our invitations to participate in the meetings.
Before the expert panel’s visit, ASHE is obliged to prepare a Self-evaluation Report in which it has to explain in which manner it complies with each ESG standard together with supporting evidence.
