The fourth Quality Day of the University of Zagreb was held online on 27 November 2020 on the topic Studying and teaching – 2020 challenges.

The programme of the Quality Day centred around the exchange of experience and considerations on further improvement of the quality assurance system of studying and learning in the so-called “new normal”.

The event was opened by the rector of the University of Zagreb, Prof. Damir Boras, PhD, and the participants were also greeted by Prof. Jasmina Havranek, PhD, acting director of the Agency for Science and Higher Education (ASHE), Prof. Mirjana Polić-Bobić, PhD, president of the National Council for Science, Higher Education and Technological Development and Ivica Šušak, Director of the Department for Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Education.

Dr. sc. Sandra Kučina-Softić, Assistant Director for Education and User Support at the Zagreb University Computing Centre (Croatia) made a presentation on the importance and the role of e-learning and online teaching, while the results of the surveys on the process of studying during extraordinary circumstances at Croatian HEIs were presented by the employees of the Agency for Science and Higher Education mr. sc. Mina Đorđević and Željka Plužarić. Prof. Mirjana Hruškar Professor, Ph.D., Vice rector for Spatial University Development and Quality Control System introduced the participants in the conference with the results of the survey on the implementation of remote teaching at the University of Zagreb and with the experiences of students, teachers and heads of university constituents in the mentioned processes.  

In the second part of the programme dedicated to the accreditation of study programmes and online teaching, mr. sc. Sandra Bezjak, assistant director for higher education and Prof. Mirjana Polić-Bobić, PhD, president of the National Council for Science, Higher Education and Technological Development held presentations.
