ASHE hosts the CEENQA General Assembly in Split

The Croatian Agency for Science and Higher Education hosted the Network of Central and Eastern European Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENQA) Steering Committee Meeting, workshop and the extraordinary General Assembly at the University of Split. Director of the Agency for Science and Higher Education, Jasmina Havranek, PhD was elected a member of the Steering Commitee for the period from 2011 to 2013. ASHE is a full CEENQA member since April 2008.
In addition to the meetings and the assembly of the CEE Network, an organization gathering regional agencies for quality assurance in higher education, the participants took part in a workshop dedicated to external reviews of quality assurance agencies aimed at full membership in ENQA (European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education), the association of quality assurance agencies in the European Higher Education Area.
Presenters Nick Harris and David Cairns talked about the expectations to be met in a successful external review, as well as the details of the procedure.
Second part of the workshop was dedicated to assessment of joint programmes, presented by Kaja Braathen from Netherlands-Flemish Accreditation Agency (NVAO).
