The Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency
The Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) is responsible for the management / implementation of all Tempus Actions under the supervision of the European Commission.
The formal responsibility for supervising the activities of the Tempus Programme lies with two departments of the European Commission, EuropeAid – European Commission Co-Operation Office (AIDCO) and Directorate General for Enlargement, since both allocate funds directly to the Executive Agency to manage the Programme. In line with their mandate, DG External Relations contributes to the strategic orientations of the Programme and DG Education and Culture brings in its sectoral expertise and facilitates linkages with the EU's internal higher education reform policies (Lisbon & Bologna). These two DGs are therefore also associated with the implementation of the Tempus Programme.
Member States
Within the European Union, Tempus reference points known as “National Contact Points” can provide you with further information on Tempus in their country. The National Contact Point in the United Kingdom coordinates a partner search facility.
Partner countries
To implement Tempus in the partner countries, the European Commission is assisted by National Tempus Offices. They can facilitate partner search, and disseminate information on Tempus in their country.
In Croatia, the National Tempus Office is organized within the Agency for Science and Higher Education. The Tempus office is responsible for program coordination and provides service to all parties interested in proposing Tempus projects and to all who manage and implement Tempus projects in Croatia
